I credit my good luck to (1) attending a university where single rooms were abundant for freshmen and sophomores, (2) spending my junior year studying abroad, and (3) drawing an unbelievably good number in the senior-year housing lottery. ---

Rowing. * * * I’ve had a couple of chances of putting some cash down on a casino game after wandering into one, but I found that these places seem to suck the soul right out of my body, and I couldn’t stand to be in them for very long. ---

Never lived in a house with central air conditioning Never got a tattoo or piercing Never had wisdom teeth (they’re just absent from my skeleton) Never been arrested Never had children (though have stepchildren) Never gone hunting Never belonged to a religion Never had tonsils or appendix removed Never skied Never worked in a restaurant or a store (except as a security guard) Never lost my phone Never went to a prom Never listened to an audio book Never been in an ambulance Never been to a funeral for blood relatives though quite a few died Never been on a roller coaster built of metal Though I am only 68, the flower of youth yet upon me. ---

If a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is too sweet, would a fluffernutter be _way_ too sweet. (A fluffernutter is a sandwich with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff.) I ask because I’ve never had a fluffernutter. ---

Wow. Those arrest stats surprised me. I would have been good money that the percentage of people who’ve been arrested was substantially lower. My initial take (before I followed the link) was that getting arrested was not a common thing, but I guess it is. ---

Never seen _The Shining_, _The Wizard of Oz_, _Gone with the Wind_, _ET_, or any of the “Top Gun” movies. Never used marijuana or any other illegal drug. Never visited Africa (though I flew over Egypt once and went through the Suez Canal five times), or South America.. Never been south of the equator. Never taken part in a protest (though I did consider joining the students who were picketing the striking high-school teachers). Never been a member of a union. Never been to a rock concert.
