# What's the best April Fool's gag you've seen on the 'net?

Let’s keep this thread going throughout the day… If you find a good April Fool’s gag on a page you visit today, be sure to tell about it here.
I’m curious as to how many sites still do this. I can remember some of the best gags from the past. Anyone remember Coming Attractions by Corona? They had fake movie listings on April 1 that always cracked me up.
Last year, [homestarrunner.com](http://homestarrunner.com) was taken over by the King of Town, and I think slashdot did some random craziness (there’s a surprise), but I can’t remember much else.

Well, so far, I’ve encountered a webpage that doesn’t load properly and says “Coming Soon! The biggest name is Web Advertising!!” on [homestarrunner.com](http://homestarrunner.com) and some stranger-than-usual stories on [slashdot.org](http://slashdot.org)…

The Eddie Izzard fansite, Cake or Death, this morning featured an announcement that the site was being taken down and replaced with a Marvin Hamlisch tribute site. Clicking on a link brings you to a photo of Eddie Izzard and the caption, “just kidding, love.”
I dunno how to make links, but it’s easy to find.

Out of morbid curiosity, I checked out [www.startrek.com](http://www.startrek.com) to see what their big announcement was today. Somre pretty good stuff on the front page. I’m sure I’d laughed more if I actually watched Enterprise.

Can’t find the link now, but Google announced Gmail to compete with Yahoo and MSN mail. It said it would offer 1 GB of server space to each subscriber, free of charge.
Blizzard, along with announcing the two-headed ogre, announced a new Goblin hero for Warcraft 3.

My former college has been doing [April Fools](http://www.wpi.edu/April/2004) websites since the mid 90’s. This year’s was REALLY lame and looked like it was spurned out within an hour (I guess the webmasters didn’t mark their calendars), but take a look at the [archives](http://www.wpi.edu/April) for some pretty funny stuff

Found [this one](http://www.ugo.com/channels/dvd/features/starwarstrilogy/) on Slashdot today. “Leaked” _Star Wars Trilogy_ DVD commentary by George Lucas. Some of the commentary is actually quite funny, like the Death Star trench run as Oedipal symbolism. Hits just the right notes to piss off the fanboys.
