What's The Best Film Version of "A CHRISTMAS CAROL"?

A feature of the Victorian Christmasdinner was the desseret…Plum Pudding! Dickens describes it as something that took a long time to make…apparently,it was steamed for a long time.
Anybody have a modern recipe for this dish? Is it a dessert that the modern palate wouls appreciate?Or is it something that we today would find too heavy?

Plum pudding is still eatern in the UK but it usually now called Christmas pudding. Here is a recipe :-

If the thought of suet puts you off you can buy a vegetarian alternative. In fact most of the store bought puddings contain this. BTW , in a recent poll ,about a third of Britons said that they do not like Christmas pudding but eat it because it is traditional. The secret is to not eat too much . It is very rich and , coming after a main course of turkey and all the trimmings , there is usually not much room left for the pudding.

Checking back in with a little extra info on the spooky animated one I mentioned:

has the details. It was made in 1971 and featured Sim as the voice of Scrooge. Read the comments to get a feel for this short. It is really quite disturbing, yet very cool.

<p>These are all in the Sim version, which I find the best. I like the other versions I’ve seen (never seen the Scott version), but there’s someting about the black and white photography in the Sim version, and the fact that Sim looks EXACTLY like I imagined him when I read the story, that makes it tops for me.
