People with no bank account. If your finances are fucked, it’s possible for you to have to deal entirely in cash. I know someone who as recently as the last time I talked to him (~a year ago) was still working entire in cash because of a big snafu at his previous bank that he’d have to get back up to where he used to live to resolve.

I’ve found $20 exactly twice. This is slightly awkward when I’m telling the stories, as my group of friends sometimes uses “… and then I found $20” as a way to end an anecdote that isn’t going anywhere, we’ve forgotten the point of, we’ve suddenly realized is boring, etc.
