# What's the best thing you've picked out of the trash?

A stuffed Canadian goose.  
That’s right. I don’t need none of that stinking furniture! Give me my goose and I’m just fine.  
Actually I just pulled it out of the trash to scare the snot out of my unsuspecting friends.  
Well of course, you say. What other reason is a goose ever stuffed for?

I love my goose…😃

My Dad once found a perfectly good dual tape deck/radio with nice big speakers in a Dumpster once. One of the decks wasn’t working right, but it was easy to fix.

You might want to have that film developed to see what that toothbrush has been “slightly used” for.

A knew of a company that was throwing away a McIntosh MC-60 monoblock audio amplifier. (It wasn’t used for musical reproduction. It was used in an R&D lab on an electromagnetic shaker for many years.)

“Can I have it?”

“Sure.”

It was manufactured in 1959. Little did they know that this model was quite rare and (consequently) considered valuable to collectors of older McIntosh amplifiers. (Before you criticize me, realize that _information has value_. _I_ knew it was worth something, _they_ didn’t, therefore I reap the benefits.)

Cosmetically it was in pretty bad shape, but it did _work_. I got $450 for it on Ebay.
