I had a black Lab/chow mix. The doors in my house have levers you turn instead of knobs. She taught herself to stand on her hind legs and push down on the lever with her front paws to open the door. Fortunately, the door leading from the laundry room to the garage (and thus to the outdoors) only opened inward to the L.R. She never figured out to pull on doors opening inward.
