I see - the President has a secret plan to make sure dangerous illegal aliens don’t get arrested.
That’s about the stupidest fucking thing I’ve heard since the birth certificate fiasco.

Once you accept that Barack Obama is evil and wants to hurt Americans and destroy the country, it makes much more sense.
Or, it makes sense if you define dangerous as narrowly as possible, to include only aliens who committed violent crimes.
But, we’ll see how the lawsuit shakes out. And if examples come up, Republicans should be sure to Willie Horton those examples.
The President’s move is deeply unpopular:
Republicans shouldn’t do anything to stop the President and Democrats from digging themselves in deeper with the public other than to helpfully remind the public as the consequences of this action take shape.
The immigrants are here to be exploited. They provide cheap labor, produce cheap products, and provide a tax source while demanding far less services in return. As a “law abiding citizen”, whether you intend it or not you are one of the people benefiting from that exploitation, even if indirectly.
All this complaining about the big bad immigrants coming here to leech off of America is just a typical example of the exploiters blaming their victims so they can feel good about what they are doing.
Focusing on politics over policy is a sell-out of principle.
Weird how the “exploiters” are doing their best to avoid exploiting the “victims” while the “victims” and their advocates are the ones pushing hard to create as many new “victims” as possible. Just one of those strange things …
The Republicans have no control over the policy. The President can take this action without Congress’ input and Congress has no recourse. That leaves politics: point out how the President’s action is an abuse of his power and make sure the media reports every alien felon let off the hook for political reasons on the front page. If the unemployment rate spikes, be sure to blame it on the 5 million new work permits.
“Alien felons”? Gosh, I had no idea! You mean to say that the President’s plan means that car thieves, burglars and rapists will no longer be deported? Well, that’s really bad!
And not that I don’t trust your strict candor and straight-forward honesty, but perhaps you could briefly outline for us just exactly which felonies the President plans to condone? You kinda skimped on that part.
And will they pick up their voter registration forms at the same time as their food stamps?
Well, according to the lawsuit the right-wing media is reporting on, the administration is already unconcerned about illegally registering to vote, identify theft, and DUIs. We’ll see if it’s true, but I’m not sure how it can’t be. A heck of a lot of working immigrants had to commit a felony to get employment. And once you’ve got those fake or stolen documents, how many would be tempted to use them for purposes other than getting work? Certainly more than zero. Hopefully someone in the White House press corps(probably Jake Tapper) will ask the question.
It is a tu quoque fallacy. Obama’s major failing has been his lack of knowledge/appreciation of history. Give an assload of money to banks with no conditions hoping they’ll give out loans? Anyone familiar with the RFC knew it was doomed to fail. Now his half-assed attempt to reform immigration by effectively granting amnesty to illegal immigrants and not reforming the system as a whole? Will probably fail as badly as the half-assed attempt in 1986
