Pics or it didn’t happen!
I experienced a time slip once that worked the other way around. I completely lost two full days, from just after leaving work on Friday afternoon, until Sunday, when I suddenly found in myself in an unfamiliar place, with no recollection of the time in between. However, photographic evidence was preserved from the days in question, and posted on Facebook by my so-called friends, much to my embarrassment. The physical process involved is known as “tequila”.
Ralph, do you believe in time slips?
Is it possible they somehow took a ferry to the Isle of Wight? ![]()
There are old-order Amish and Mennonite communities scattered around the US and it’s possible to wander into them accidentally. If someone claimed that they got lost in the Shenandoah Valley and came upon a small farm town where everyone else was riding around in horse and buggy, I would likely believe them. I’ve been there.
Ah, so that’s how that works, nevermind then…

They couldn’t find the hotel again on their way back? I beleive them – at times I cannot find a restaurant in my own town a second time.
One person dreaming or hallucinating would explain a lot of stories. Four people is a deliberate hoax, if it’s really four people. Often there’s one person telling the story and claiming companions were there as well. But if all four make the claim it’s totally fabricated.
