I’m surprised noone’s mentioned dingos yet. Mogwai are adorable but they make terrible pets because they can become very aggressive towards humans if not cared for properly and they can reproduce rapidly as a feral population. ---

[The Platypus might just qualify](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platypus_venom) - its venomous spur not directly lethal to humans (but you can’t trust anything in Australia), and how cute it is depends on your sense of aesthetics. ---

Interesting coincidence. One of the columnists at my paper wrote a column last month entitled “[Cute, but Deadly](http://www.localrag.net/article.php?articlenum=457).” His nominee for the title: the slow loris. They’re not really so deadly to humans, but they _are_ venomous mammals and they certainly peg the cute meter. Here’s a [YouTube video](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SNE2MYAotU) of a slow loris names Sonya (warning: plays music). My cats wish they could be that cute. ---
