# What's the deal with "TakeLessons"? A scam? Malware?

I have Microsoft Edge for my browser. At the top of my feed homepage are links to sites I visit frequently.

These links _used to_ update automatically. If I started visiting a new site frequently enough, a link for that site would replace the link for a site less frequently visited.

But recently, a link to a site I’d never heard of showed up: _TakeLessons dot com_. (I’ve spelled it out because I don’t want to create a live link to the damn thing).

It appears to be a service that puts music teachers in touch with people who want to take lessons on line. Sort of like an Uber for music lessons. In fact, I’ve read opinions from some that the service takes unreasonably large cuts of the teachers’ pay, something Uber drivers and customers complain about.

I’ve never visited the site. I do play music and frequently watch music lessons on youtube, which I assume is why the link was foisted on me.

The links on my feed homepage have a “remove” option. When I use this option on the TakeLessons link, it says that it’s been removed. But it never goes away.

Anyone know about TakeLessons? Is it just overly agressive marketing by Microsoft bots?
