# What's the deal with the Church of the Subgenius?

Having seen the stickers of the Happy Fifties Guy with Pipe all over a local college campus for years, I’m glad to finally learn more. Thanks, **Eutychus** , for this 1999 column.

I noticed a typo. The next-to-last paragraph begins, “Philosophically, the church owes it’s origin to the Discordian movement of the late 60’s and 70’s.” Don’t need that apostrophe in “its.”
