I mean, are they interchangable? Does every [tubagirl](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/member.php?action=getinfo&username=tubagirl)grow up to _be_ a [TubaDiva](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=32)? Was TubaDiva once a mere tubagirl? (This isn’t as big of a no-brainer as it seems) And then theres the BIG question…is a TubaDiva or tubagirl inherently superior to a SousaphoneDiva or a piccolo girl? These are questions that need to be seriously considered, and not merely put off. After all, such people as BassoonDivas and harmonicagirls have feelings too. If we ignore even _one_ TimpaniDiva or kazoogirl, we should be ashamed. okay, I’ve had my fun. 😃 ---

OMG! A thread with my name in the header! The biggest difference between a tubagirl and a tubadiva is that I became “tubagirl” when I was still… a girl. I got my first email address with this nickname when I was 13. I am really a tubagoddess by now but haven’t changed my name yet. And yes, tuba-whatevers are vastly superior to any other instrument related names. hee hee, I had a thread with my name in the header!!! heehee ---

TUBADIVA likes jazz and is a mod. tubagirl, AFAIK, doesn’t have such an obsession for jazz and is not a mod. ---

During one of my first contacts with the Straight Dope Message Board, I inquired as to whether or not Tubadiva played the tuba, or simply was tubular. I think the staff fingered me as a odd dude right there. ---

Actually, **TubaDiva** is an ADMINISTRATOR, wielding mystical powers far spookier than those of the moderators. Like, if **UncleBeer** is the Genie of the Ring, **Tuba** would be the Genie of the Lamp. ---

What’s the difference? Experience, mostly. Persephone, I’m incredibly flattered. Hey I have my TubaChristmas on Dec. 9 in Jacksonville. When it is at Disney we round up 500-600 players. but this year they are doing it in Jacksonville, so the numbers will be drastically decreased. ---
