Hi Poli! 🙂

Mid Michigan here high point about 1100ft, low point at the river 610ft. My ears pop too heading down the beltline to the grand river. 😛

> Bangkok is pretty flat, so no real variation here.

Just remembered the highest elevation in Bangkok is the temple called [Wat Saket](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wat_Saket). But the hill it’s on is entirely manmade. Excerpt from link: **Rama I’s grandson, King Rama III (1787–1851), decided to build a chedi of huge dimensions inside Wat Saket. Unfortunately, the chedi collapsed during construction because the soft soil of Bangkok could not support the weight. Over the next few decades, the abandoned mud-and-brick structure acquired the shape of a natural hill and was overgrown with weeds. The locals called it the _phukhao_ [mountain or hill] as if it were a natural feature.** Otherwise, Bangkok is pretty much flat as a pancake. and this particular hill is an easy stroll up to the top, takes about 10 minutes.
