Cairns, Australia. It’s pretty much the exact opposite of Canada. Culturally speaking, Japan. There’s nothing to fool you like technology and make you realize the stereotypes you have about modern (technologically speaking) cultures.

Home is Cleveland, OH and I lived in Isfahan, Iran for 5 years.
Also been to Tokyo, Amsterdam, and Beijing from Minneapolis when I was working for Northwest Airlines.

Let’s see . . . I was born in Painesville, OH (approx. 30 minutes east of Cleveland), and I lived for three years in Darmstadt, Germany. Although I have been farther east than that, to Aviano, Italy.
Farthest west was to Hawaii.

Hey, I may be in the running for the greatest north-south extent. South: the aforementioned Invercargill (actually Bluff, GuanoLad) New Zealand. North: Point Barrow, Alaska. I need an atlas to get the exact figures but that’s about 50 degrees south to 60 plus degrees north. Can anyone do better?
