Home=Ft. Wayne IN . Farthest= Los Angeles, California South= Northern Mexico North= The U.P. in Michigan, at the northernmost part along the Wisconsin border. Might have been a tiny bit farther north once in Wi. East= Atlantic Ocean along North Carolina West= Pacific Ocean in L.A. area. ---

From MadCity. North - Scotland East - UK West/South - Australia. But in reality, being the “farthest from home” is flying in a 747-400 between Australia and the US at night. Because if the plane had trouble and went down while somewhere over the South Pacific there would be no hope. ---

From Chicago, using O’Hare in particular because I’ve lived south and east of it, north and west of it, and now north and east of it: Farthest north: somewhere in Ireland, either the Republic or Northern Ireland Farthest south: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Farthest east: Munich, Germany Farthest west: San Francisco, California (close runner up: Seattle, Washington) ---

Don’t forget to pack a parka in case you don’t get back before winter sets in. My aged MIL was from the CT countryside. Despite having lived in big cities in big states for most of her very long life, she still thinks 10 miles is a long way and a town that far away must be quite different from “'round heah.” Not that she has the accent; just the thinking. Such fun. ---

Travelling west–Sacramento CA to Tokyo, 5150 miles. Travelling east–Tokyo to Ft Myers, FL, 7350 miles. Travelling south–Sacramento CA to Cancun, 2379 miles. Travelling north–Portland OR to Vancouver BC, 260 miles. Travelling north from here isn’t too much fun, pretty quick you’re travelling south again! ---

From place of birth, to a point on the ground, Wisconsin to St Denis, Reunion, Indian Ocean – just under 10,000 miles. More that, but not counted, to RTW flight points. Furthest from anyplacc i’d ever been before, I’ve passed exact antipodes in Ecuador and Sumatra, which is as far as you an get. N/S, to Alta, Norway, and Quillon, Chile, ---

Arctic and Antarctica is impressive! Furthest from home (London) I’ve been is on a fight to Sydney. The flights come in from the south so as the plane looped round it took me furthest south (and i was up in the air so even further away). The furthest east would be on a boat trip to a reef lagoon near Byron Bay, Australia. Furthest north would be at the old docks in Talinn, Estonia. Furthest west would be a boat trip under the Golden Gate Bridge, USA. ---
