**manwithaplan** , I ran a number of geochem programs for ARCO Alaska back in the late '80s and early '90s all over the North Slope, Kenai Peninsula and Yukon-Charley Wilderness. We sampled from Barrow to Umiat to Anaktuvek Pass clear over to the Ivishak River near ANWAR and up to Deadhorse. Best. Job. Ever. ---

Starting from Toronto: North: Yellowknife, NWT, Canada: 62°28’N, 114°27’W East: Athens, Greece: 37°58’N, 23°43’E South and West: Perth, Australia: 31°57’S, 115°51’E Crossed the Greenwich Meridian, the International Date Line, and the Equator. No wonder I often have difficulty knowing what time it is, what day it is, and what season it is. 😃 ---

North - Either Point of Aire in the Isle of man, or somewhere in Cumbria (both are on roughly the same level. I went to Cumbria as a child so I am not sure exactly where) East - Montpellier (France) West - Peel, Isle of Man. Specifically the path beside the west side of peel castle. South - Estapona (Spain, near Gibraltar) ---

All lat / longs from [multimap.com](http://multimap.com). Not quite sure what the OP’s comment “Air travel doesn’t count” means, but presuming it means “ignore locales you’ve only flown over, not been on the ground at”, then here’s my input. I’m pretty well-traveled, but nowhere near competitive with some of these folks. Born in/near Los Angeles, California, USA (N33° 50’ W118° 21’). North - Anchorage, Alaska, USA (N61° 10’ W149° 48’). South - Oamaru, South Island, New Zealand (S45° 07’ E170° 58’). West - Mana, Kauai island, Hawaii, USA (N22° 03’ W159° 46’). East - Hastings, North Island, New Zealand (S39° 34’ E176° 45’). (Although we traveled west from California to get there. Furthest easterly travel from home was near Naples, Italy approximately N40° 46’ E14° 22’) An interesting variation would be where’s the farthest NESW you’ve lived, “lived” defined as actually setting up a fixed residence for a month or more (not a hotel / camper / caravan / motor home). And measure “how far” from your birthplace, not just simple lat/longs. The point being to learn who has really lived across a large span of the planet. I’m not going to OP, but if anyone else wants to … ---
