# What's the going rate for natural gas?

I’m currently with Dominion East Ohio and I’m thinking they’re getting kind of pricey.

I’ve got an offer in hand from Shell Energy. I can switch with little worry so that’s not an issue.

But I’ve got nothing to compare to. What’s the market rate for natural gas per Mcf these days?

Try looking [here](http://www.puco.ohio.gov/Puco/ApplesToApples/NaturalGas.cfm?doc_id=601). The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio publishes comparisons of rates for all companies that offer natural gas in Ohio and a couple of electric companies.
