Nothing, as we don’t have ice cream trucks here, and haven’t in the 13 years that I’ve lived here. Quite a shame really, as none of the stores within a reasonable distance sell the same thing they do. (I miss biting Mickey Mouse’s ears off.) ---

I hardly ever encounter ice cream trucks around here, but in the neighborhood where I grew up, it would be “Pop Goes the Weasel”, “Turkey in the Straw”, or “The Entertainer”. ---

Children’s nursery rhymes here. Doesn’t bar me from running out for an, uh, ice cream bar though. When our kids were young they used to come by without fail just as we were sitting down to our evening meal. I used to want to wreak havoc on that ice cream person. ---

But we were down the Jersey Shore last weekend, and the truck there plays _It’s a Small World After All_. “Turkey in the Straw” is pretty benign compared to that. ---

Mr. Softee – a chain of soft serve trucks in NYC – plays a little noodley-doo song (noddley-doodley-doodley-doo, do-da-do-da-DOO doo) which, according to what I read in their recent winning trade dress lawsuit, is a Mr. Softee original. ---

I think it’s The Entertainer around here, too. You know, I’ve never bought an ice cream from a truck in my life - they didn’t have them in the small town I grew up in, and I don’t feel the need to buy ice cream from a truck as an adult.
