They’re supposed to be real songs? And different trucks play different ones?! I’ve only heard one “song” from every truck I’ve ever encountered, and I have no idea what it is. ---

Turkey in the Straw and The Entertainer here. Not as bad as It’s a Small World, but not good. I can’t imagine why the driver of that truck isn’t a spree killer! ---

When growing up it was always Greensleeves. There may have been only one Ice Cram truck serving the entire town, at that time. It certainly seemed that way. I haven’t heard one locally in years, so I can’t recall what the usual tune is for Australia. I’m pretty sure it’s not Greensleeves, though. ---

It was always Mr Whippy and Greensleeves. I think they have been defunct for years. ---

What ever happened to good ol’ fashioned [bells](http://laurieliberrian.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/good-humor-ice-cream-truck.jpg)? And for the life of me, I still can’t figure out how those guys were able to pull out what I wanted just by sticking their arms in the freezer door. ---

Stupid ice cream truck music (like the tunes mentioned above). My old neighborhood had this guy who was clever enough to play oldies. If I’d ever been energetic enough to have gotten down there when he came by, I would have tipped him just for NOT playing the typical garbage. That stuff is SO annoying! Surely not even the kids can stand it. ---

A nice piece of 19th century classical music which (I’m told) is entitled “A Maiden’s Prayer.” Except it’s not an ice cream truck, it’s a [garbage truck](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1kz6_BAczA). That’s as close as we get on this fair isle. ---

The ice cream truck hasn’t been by in a couple months, but to the best of my recollection it was a Christmas carol of some sort. ---

When our kids were younger (toddlers) we told them that it was the Music Truck. “Look! The Music Truck!” Then we would dance as it passed by. Worked like a charm until their meddling cousins told them the truth. ---

We’re too rural for ice cream trucks, but we renovated a house a few years back in a neighborhood on the edge of the bad part of town. This huge, thug-looking dude drove around an old, still-brown UPS truck with ice cream wrappers crookedly pasted to the side. It played some confederate march as it slowly prowled the streets. ---
