Me, a gallon of paint in a church I was painting. It was in a hall, with a slight incline. It went all the way from the choir room to the nave. ---

About 30 gallons of gear oil. A pain to clean up. I think my worst spill was a 1 gallon container of liquid smoke, it took years for the smell to entirely leave. It seemed to follow me home from work at night for weeks after the spill. The spill was on an upper floor mezzanine with an unfished plywood floor, it leaked down through the cracks and into the next floor carpet. ---

Probably when I kicked over a gallon can of Kilz Primer onto carpeting. Cleaned it up with spoons. Back when I was a candle maker, I’m pretty sure I and others dropped pots of liquid wax now and then. Usually about 6 quarts, with dye and scent. It was a very messy place to work, so it wasn’t any big problem. ---

top loading washer when the drain hose fell out of the utility tub. damn machine was dutifully trying to fill and the hose would just let it drain onto the floor. I think that happened twice to us. ---

A full pan of chili when I worked at Wendy’s. The handle on the pan snapped off and the whole thing went flying. I don’t know the amount exactly, but it’s probably a couple gallons worth. ---

Glass of milk. I wasn’t allowed to cry. My friend BP spilled 10 million barrels of crude oil in the Gulf of Mexico once and whined a lot about having to clean up a little bit of it and pay cents on the dollar for the people whose businesses were ruined. ---

2-1 gallon jugs of water. I had thrown them at/towards my boyfriend, they smashed on the sidewalk. There was also the incident with the blood warmer on the altar. ---

42 cups of coffee. Part of my short-lived job as office clerk early in my Navy career was to set up the big coffee urn at night and turn on the timer for morning. One night I forgot to put the lid back on it and it percolated 42 cups of coffee all over the office. The Chief was not pleased. ---

A five gallon bucket of water was a victim on my watch while doing yard-work. But my little brother has you all beat: when he was four he took the liner ring off our 12’ above ground pool and spilled around 2000 gallons of water. Boy were our parents pissed. ---

My cat (RIP Fuzzy, last month) once knocked over a full half-gallon of olive oil onto the kitchen floor, and then apparently rolled around in it. Took forever to clean it up. Several months later, even, he had a slightly greasy feel to his fur. I’ve spilled a gallon of milk before, and it’s no fun. And you’d better do a good job, too - or that stale, stinky spoiled milk smell will haunt you! ---

I once put a pot of coffee on when I lived at home, then went into the shower. I forgot to put the pot under the filter. When I got out of the shower I was amazed at how great the coffee smelled… as it poured all over the counter and floor. :smack: ---

A two-quart jug of lemonade, while pouring it. Fortunately, I had made it with Splenda so it wasn’t sticky. Unfortunately I was pouring onto a cup on top of my stove so it went all under the stove.
