The most recent? There’s this one that goes “You make me feel like Na Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na Na…” and it’s on all the blasted time!! Good lord, there’s so much “Na Na” in that song that it makes Journey’s “Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’” sound verbose. ---

“Party Rock Anthem.” I’d never heard it before until I watched New Year’s Rockin’ Eve (or part of it) the other night. What a load of tripe. I have no idea why this song is popular, but I suspect copious amounts of beer must be involved. ---

Practically anything with autotune gets my hatred. It was “cute” when Cher used it in what I though was a one-off use of a special effect. Little did I know… ---

While it’s true that Katy Perry throwaways have been rising steadily on my HATE-O-METER, they have yet to displace Kid Rock’s horrible _All Summer Long_. Not only does it directly rip off (not sample, _steal from_) TWO other acts, but he adds some desultory lyrics of his own and manages to rhyme “things” with “things.” It’s not a rhyme if it’s the _same word_. I don’t see how the music industry can be legally permitted to go after individuals for copying songs and yet let Kid Rock steal them wholesale. ---

Anything done by “The Tallest Man on Earth”. That stuff is horrifying, and I’m sure the only reason he got the gig is that he (sorta) sounds like Bob Dylan. Of course, I never liked Bob Dylan either, but at least he was a “voice for a generation” and his music had some substance to it. This “Tallest Dude” is just difficult to listen to. I would have linked to him, but I don’t want to open any webpage w/ his stuff on it. ---

Today Pandora barfed up a song I hated less than 20 seconds in. “Andropolis” by Venice Is Sinking.
