I don’t know the name of it. There is a piece that I’ve heard during a number of televised hockey games, but they never play enough to hear if there are any lyrics. I’ve gone through the team websites to see if any of the songs on their “playlist” are the one, but they never are. It starts with what is best described as a tribal-like drum beat, then there’s a couple of power chords…and that is where it is usually cut off. ---

“Emmylou” by First Aid Kit. I hear songs I instantly like all the time, but this one is on the “every mix tape I ever make” list. It is utterly irresistible. ---

“I Can’t Stop” by Flux Pavilion I heard it once on a Mountain Dew commercial and was intrigued. The second time the commercial came on, I had the song through Amazon five minutes later. It’s now one of my current favorites. ---

If there are any Chicago Blackhawks fans out there, it was the song that played as the Hawks came out of the tunnel to the bench area during the Finals. The LA Kings played it occasionally as they went on a Powerplay (right after the penalty was called). Some other teams did the same as LA, but they all broke the music off after the 2nd or 3rd guitar chord. ---
