[My Body](http://youtu.be/qQYpF2pCkLI) by Young the Giant. At first I thought it was a Van Halen song (the chorus sounds very VH) and I was wondering WTF I was doing liking a Van Halen song. Imagine my relief when it turned out to be a different band! I also love Tech N9ne’s latest, [Who Do I Catch Now?](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLsswCVFv0I&feature=colike) (Warning: offensive lyrics) ---

Kane West’s “Power” – they started playing an instrumental version at Dodger Stadium this year to begin games, and I ended up having to email a stadium rep to find out what it was. Sent from my AT100 using Tapatalk ---

The most instantly catchy songs from the last ten years were probably _Badger, Badger, Mushroom_ and _The Llama Song (Llama, Llama Duck)_ Usually I’m slow on the uptake, and things with immediate appeal don’t have staying power. (The was something by Sugarland.) ---

> [@Ponch8](#): > > “Shots on the Hood of My Car” by Kesha. A very upbeat song about what she’d do if the world was coming to an end. Last song I heard and liked instantly, non-Kesha division: maybe “Pumped Up Kicks” or “Rolling in the Deep”, as so many others have said ---

I listen to independent radio at work all day, and I always hear artists that grab my attention. Yesterday is was [Jessica Lea Mayfield](http://www.jessicaleamayfield.com/)’s, “Our Hearts are Wrong”. Before that it was [Cold War Kids](http://www.coldwarkids.com), “We Used to Vacation” But I have so many… I could start my own thread 😃 ---

These two aren’t the _last_ songs I liked the first time I heard them but they are two songs I fell for immediately, which is unusual for me because I usually need a couple of listenings to love anything. But I loved these two songs instantly when I saw these performances on Letterman, **Doin’ It Again** by the The Feelies: [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/2mgxHT3quRk/hqdefault.jpg "The Feelies - Doin' it Again") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mgxHT3quRk) **Rip In Heaven** by Til Tuesday: [![]( " - YouTube") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g17J00yIX98) ---
