I am really into swing music (like the zoot suit-wearing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy), and I used to play saxophone in bands and DJ at swing dances. I used this code-name back in those days and it stuck for my online usage as well. Plus my real name is Louis, but friends call me Lou (or Louie). ---

A long time ago I tried to log on to a site as Primus. Taken So I tried Segundus Gone. I tried Tertius. No luck. Things were looking pretty bleak. A long time before that, I had played a succession of Wizards (D & D) all descendants of the first magic user in history. One of my favorite of the entire series which began with Segundus, was a character named Triskadecamus. (The original was a female, by the way.) So, I logged on to the site as Triskadecamus. That one was available. I am Triskadecamus on the web, pretty much wherever I go. Tris ---

Wrigleys the chewing gum guys once marketing a gum with PK on the label, as my initials are PK and slang for chewing gum in some parts of England is SPOGGA this was my nickname at school. Pretty tame really. ---

I was the IT guy for a medium-smallish network at a property management frim. Most of my calls to service were for the trivial and silly. It became a running joke, as I fixed the problems, to say, “A trained monkey could do this.” That, combined with my wicked-good gibbon impression, got me the title of “Monkey Boy.” Some weasel without my qualifications snagged the nick mentioned above before me, damn his eyes, so I went with the Yiddish tag for a man of substance as a suffix, which I have increasingly become with the passage of years. Sometimes a little too much substance… (And no, I’m not becoming a suffix.) ---

This was an old handle I got in the early 90s when I thought I was an uber-l33t hax0r. High-larious in retrospect, basically my first name with an “n” on the end. Marley, for mentioning the Illuminatus trilogy and MJ in the same sentence, you are my new favorite person 😃 ---

Mine is boringly straight and predictable - a Brit living in Hokkaido Japan. Faced with the “name” box, I went blank. Wish I had remembered my username from previous existences in other places which is Hyotenka - Japanese for subzero. A MUCH cooler name! ---

I think it may be pretty obvious where I got my name from, but for those in the dark **Glass Onion** is a Beatles song. I wish I had never used this name, as people seem to be of the opinion that I am some kind of Beatles fan, when in fact I cannot stand them, and think they are one of the most over rated bands in the history of music. At the time I thought it was a pretty cool name…but no more. But I cant think of anything better…anyone with any ideas? ---

The first day I discovered internet (in 1993) I needed a screen name for IRC. I was searching clueless, while in another window I had a USENET client open browsing newsgroups. One of the newsgroups was … alt.vampires.alien.flonk.flonk.flonk voila, I had my screenname. ---

When I was young and “cool,” I needed a screen name for a loser chat line. At the time, I liked Static-X and I was into dark and scary things, such as death, because it made me cool.
