I think mine was just a twist on the movie and song Lust For Life. When I signed up, I didn’t know I’d hang around and really didn’t put any thought into it. I should change it, but really, who cares. ---

India. 1979. I was on the fourth night of a two-day opium and sex orgy with a high-ranking Madagascaran general and a half-dozen east-Asian college co-eds/call girls. The general and a girl named Nomi went out for cigarettes. I was eating the last of a lemon cake, and trying to make conversation with one of the hookers, but her English was far from understandable in my opium-induced state. I told her “That’s enough honey. No more talking.” She said, “Lendon vake?” I said, “Honey, let me eat my lemon cake cuz I want to go to bed.” “Lendon ved?” she said. But at that point, my last hit off the pipe did something to me, and her words began to echo off the walls. "Lendonvedenlendonvederlendervedendervedderlendenvedderlenderveddenderlendervedder… “Len…der…ved…der.” I was lost in the sound of her voice bouncing around my eardrums, and I hadn’t noticed the general had come back, and was standing over me. He was repeatedly asking me if I was okay. I finally realized he was talking to me, and I said “Yeah…yeah.” Then he asked, “But are you _happy_?” I looked at him, nodded my head slowly, and said, “No.” ---

I’m fond of weird animals. The vontsira is a sort of small carnivorous mammal, rather like a mongoose, and found only in Madagascar. There are three kinds: Grandidier’s vontsira, the brown-tailed vontsira, and Durrell’s vontsira – the last, formally described and named as recently as 2010. ---

Just checked out some images, for a small animal it sure does have sharp, prominent teeth! ---

I’m not honestly sure. I had to change it from \*\*Sam Hell \*\* fro some reason, and this was what I came up with instead. Another possibility was **Fainting Goat**. ---

In the now-old B Movie rock n’ roll mystery **Eddie and the Cruisers** , Eddie (Michael Pare) called his keyboardist/lyricist buddy (Tom Berenger) WordMan. When I saw the movie with some friends in high school, they started calling me that - because I am musical and talk a lot 😉 ---

My middle name (minus the 3). Actually, from an AOL email address. I’ve been a doper since the AOL days, and my AOL handle was Enright3… because somehow Enright, and Enright2 were already taken. So when I was on the Straight Dope boards on AOL, I used my AOL handle. ---

Way back in the unix days of the internet, my .sig (for those of you old enough to remember what a .sig is) was “Electrical engineer, computer geek, and no talent bum musician.” When I created a yahoo e-mail account, I tried to use engineer\_computer\_geek figuring that was about as close to my .sig as I could get, but that ended up being too long as well. So I shortened it to what it is now. When I signed up here I used the same name. ---
