There was a car show near where we are staying on Long Island and all sorts of cook cars were around yesterday. My two favorites were a Pontiac GTO and and Olds Cutlass convertible. I also saw 3 meticulously restored Ford Model A delivery trucks at a seafood shop. I’ll post those photos when I get a chance.

Here are the Ford delivery vans. Are these Model A?

Yes that is a 3rd-gen Charger.

Funny, but over in the trivia dominoes game thread I recently posted about the Dodge Charger. Here is a link to the post — [Trivia Dominoes II — Play Off the Last Bit of Trivia — continued! - #4461 by Bullitt - Thread Games - Straight Dope Message Board](https://is.gd/0yZcts)

And here is the post content with pictures of each Charger generation:

The first Dodge Charger was a concept show car in 1964.

[![](https://www-carscoops-com.cdn.ampproject.org/ii/w820/s/www.carscoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/csp_dodgedch644_01.jpg) ](https://www-carscoops-com.cdn.ampproject.org/ii/w820/s/www.carscoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/csp_dodgedch644_01.jpg)

.
From 1966 to 1967 the 1st generation Dodge Charger was a two-door fastback with four bucket seats.

[![](https://www-motorious-com.cdn.ampproject.org/ii/w820/s/www.motorious.com/content/images/2021/01/1966-Dodge-Charger-H-Code-3.jpg) ](https://www-motorious-com.cdn.ampproject.org/ii/w820/s/www.motorious.com/content/images/2021/01/1966-Dodge-Charger-H-Code-3.jpg)

.
From 1968 to 1970 the 2nd generation Dodge Charger was a two-door sedan with a rear bench seat.

[![](https://www.motortrend.com/uploads/sites/5/2021/02/speedkore-charger-hellraiser-05.jpg) ](https://www.motortrend.com/uploads/sites/5/2021/02/speedkore-charger-hellraiser-05.jpg)

.
From 1971 to 1974 the 3rd generation Dodge Charger had a layout similar to the 2nd generation.

.
From 1975 to 1978 the 4th generation Dodge Charger was restyled to move the Charger into the growing personal luxury car market segment.

[![](https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/gallery/DODGE-Charger-6146_2.jpeg) ](https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/gallery/DODGE-Charger-6146_2.jpeg)

.
From 1982 to 1987 the 5th generation Dodge Charger was a front-wheel drive subcompact two-door hatchback coupe. To date this is the only front wheel drive Dodge Charger.

[![](https://www.topcarrating.com/dodge/1987-dodge-shelby-charger-glhs.jpg) ](https://www.topcarrating.com/dodge/1987-dodge-shelby-charger-glhs.jpg)

.
In 1999 the Dodge Charger R/T concept car was a four-door sport sedan that hid the rear doors so they were not obvious.

.
From 2006 to 2010 the 6th generation Dodge Charger returned after a 20 year absence as a four-door sedan that held little resemblance to the 1999 concept.

.
From 2011 to the present the current, 7th generation Dodge Charger continues as a four-door sedan.

First one likely is, second one definitely is. Third is a heavier model, either AA or BB; likely the former.

If I saw that car on the road I would have assumed it was a Chrysler Cordoba. I’d completely forgotten that there was a Dodge Charger that was essentially a badge engineered Cordoba (I assume with fewer featured and a lower price point).

I’d forgotten this too. When I was reading up on the generations (and wiki has a [nice summary here](https://is.gd/twyjK6)), when I saw that 4th-gen I did a double take.

It is quite the **humble** car, isn’t it?

Just saw a c. 1940 Ford – one of the last models with a rumble seat, which was open but unoccupied. The Lafayette Kroozers are having a show tomorrow at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater, so I’m guessing this beautiful blue vehicle will be part of the festivities.

This morning I saw a Maserati GranTurismo.

This afternoon I saw a bright yellow VW Beetle convertible, and then right behind that a restored second generation International Harvester Scout.

I have to say, old SUVs are hot right now. First generation Broncos are becoming so common they’re hardly worth mentioning anymore, and I think Scouts are getting that way as well.

Waymo or Devo? You decide.
