I believe this is a Nissan Fairlady Z (1983-2000) right hand drive import from Japan. It has a Japanese plate next to the MA plate.

Never mind, I thought I found a way to differentiate between ones manufactured in Japan and ones manufactured elsewhere but I’m probably wrong.

I saw a hybrid F-150. From what I can tell, they’ve been around for a year or two, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one.
Between a hybrid F-150 and the Lightening, how long before they discontinue the ICE F-150?

You mean the best selling vehicle in the US for the last 34 years? It’ll be a while, yet.

I’ve been on jury duty all week this week. Yesterday, I left the courthouse for lunch and saw an orange VW Karmann Ghia with whitewall tires drive by. Today when I left the courthouse at lunch time what had to have been the same orange Karmann Ghia with whitewall tires drove by again.

But that was only the most interesting car I saw yesterday, because this morning on the way to court I saw a Rivian R1S (their SUV). I’ve seen I couple of Rivian pickups around, but I’m pretty sure this was the first time I spotted an SUV.

I was pulling into a parking lot this evening, and saw what I’m fairly sure was a 1964 Dodge Dart station wagon drive by and park a few rows away. It didn’t look pristine, it appeared to have a little rust around the wheel wells, and it was dark so there may have been other flaws I couldn’t see. But it was cool to see it being used as possibly a daily driver. After I parked I started walking over to take a picture, only to realize I didn’t have my phone with me; it was at home charging. D’oh!

Also I saw two more Rivians this morning, another SUV which was a different color from the one I saw yesterday, and a light green pickup I believe I’ve seen around here before.

And the same orange Karman Ghia drove past the courthouse as I was leaving for a third time (which will be the last, as my jury service is now over).

I’m on a road trip. I’ve seen a few…

A Karma Revero, on the freeway. First time setting one on the freeway. I’ve test driven one. They’re nice.

Chevy Corvair on the freeway. If I’ve ever seen one in the freeway before, it would have had to be many many years ago.

A Plymouth Prowler. They look badass.

An aircooled VW Microbus pickup truck. It was the extended cab version.

It does.

Yesterday we saw a bright red mid-'60s Chevy. I don’t remember if it was an Impala, or an El Camino. (Angle was wrong.) It was across the road from our turn to get to Blaine. Someone in a pickup smashed it on the driver’s side, and there were emergency vehicles all around.

I saw two interesting cars today.

First, in my neighborhood an elderly couple was driving a Mercury Milan. I can’t remember this model at all. It’s also the most nondescript car ever. No wonder it had such a limited production.

> **[Mercury Milan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Milan)**
>
> The Mercury Milan is a mid-size car that was marketed by the Mercury division of Ford Motor Company. Named after Milan, an Italian city, the Milan was sold across the 2006 to 2011 model years in a single generation. The smaller of two model lines developed to replace the Mercury Sable, it indirectly succeeded the Mercury Mystique as the smallest Mercury sedan.
> Unveiled at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show, the Milan was the first new Mercury sedan nameplate introduced since 1995, and became the final...

I then saw a Mercedes EQB 300 on the freeway. It’s an electric SUV that doesn’t shout that it’s electric. Looks like just another car unless you’re a car person.

> **[Mercedes-Benz EQB](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_EQB)**
>
> The Mercedes-Benz EQB (X243) is a seven-seat battery electric compact luxury crossover SUV produced by the German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz from 2021.
> The EQB is part of the EQ family, a range that will expand to include 10 new models by 2022. The Mercedes-Benz EQB is based on the Mercedes-Benz GLB. The EQB is available in both front-wheel drive and 4MATIC branded dual motor all wheel drive configurations. The Mercedes EQB will be available in five and seven seat layouts.

And today I saw an [Acura TSX Sport Wagon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acura_TSX#2011_TSX_Sport_Wagon). Those were pretty rare in the US even when they were new. IIRC they were essentially a rebadged European market Honda Accord.

This morning I saw a [Pontiac Astre](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_Astre), the much rarer cousin of the Chevy Vega (Not that either are common nowadays). It had been turned into a hot rod; the hood had been removed and a chromed up V8 crammed into the engine bay, so the body was likely the only think on that car that was original. Oh, and it was the wagon body style, so I’m kind of continuing the wagon theme, although that was far from that car’s most interesting feature.

Saturday bonus post:

Over a year ago I posted this Model A being used as a decoration in someone’s yard:

> [@What's the most interesting car you saw today?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/whats-the-most-interesting-car-you-saw-today/688889/4223):
>
> I may have spoken too soon. I went for a walk and discovered someone in my neighborhood has placed what’s left of a Model A on their front lawn as a piece of literal yard art. I’m not sure how much of a vehicle needs to remain for it to still be considered a car, but this isn’t a bad use for a car that’s probably too deteriorated to restore. [[Imgur] ](https://www.flickr.com/photos/66423490@N08/52040001357/)

Well it’s actually gained more parts, and now appears to be serving as a planter:
