What's the most interesting object you own?

Welcome @Wonko-the-sane! Discourse says you’re new here, but you sure look familiar to me. Glad to have you, either way.

I lost access to one of my old email addresses, so I made a new account. I have not posted in quite some time. My personality has mellowed in the last 20 years.

It’s a Mercedes aluminum V8 engine block. I can lift it with one hand. It weighs less than an armchair.

Interesting to me but most people I know don’t know or care what it is. I bought a Klein bottle from Cliff Stoll.

Sorry, I was away for a couple of days.

Women and men both are attracted to my manliness all the time, so that was nothing new. :slightly_smiling_face:

In reality, there was a lot of concern. We were a pretty close bunch. Someone got a half ass med kit from the bartender and cleaned it up for me. Ointment, gauze and some band-aids (and an offer from a friend to pour his rum and coke on it to sterilize it).The waitress tossed us a wet rag to clean up the booth and my jacket. One guy was wearing a flannel shirt over his t-shirt that he loaned me and we were all set. Lot’s of bullet jokes for the next couple weeks.

What strikes me now is that I don’t think anyone there, even the only person over 21, the bar owner, suggested calling the police. The past is a different place. If it happened today, I’m sure everyone, myself included, would have called 911.

My gf’s mom and brothers were discussing doing a bike ride and they decided to offer me dad’s bike, because he would want me to have it.

We went for a ride yesterday. It was glorious. I felt like PeeWee Herman.

A floor tile from the public toilets of the Tricorn Centre, Portsmouth (A famously hated piece of 1960s Brutalist architecture which was demolished in 2004)

I’ve got some German Marks from the hyperinflation era before Hitler. I also have a 2 Shilling coin with King George VI.

Also a bunch of one pound banknotes from the Bank of England as well as a variety of other banks where one pound notes are still used

You mean you have some trillion German marks from the inflation?
