# What's the most likely candidate for 51st state of America?

Note that the idea has been proposed, but the legal and political problems of admitting these islands to the Canadian Confederation seem difficult. I can’t help but notice that this idea always seems to come from Canadians. I wonder if anyone in, say, the Turks and Caicos Islands wants to do it. I’d think maybe they should be consulted.

You want those islands, you just send your army and navy and air force down there and \*take \* them. What are they gonna do about it, huh? Oh, wait, I see the problem there …
