Another Mickey Mouser. “Oh, hello Pluto.” is my go to line but I do others. I have a grandkid now who is into Mickey so I’m dusting it off and getting it up to speed. I can also do angry Donald Duck. I do Joe Besser (fake Curly number 2) stumbling over saying “cinnamon” as on _The Joey Bishop Show_. Something so obscure I can’t find video of it. OTOH, doing the real Curly is hardly oddball. Nyuk, nyuk. ---

My brother could do Donald Duck very well, but I’ve never been able to. I can’t do Rocky the Flying Squirrel either. I just can’t get June Foray’s raspy “All-American boy” voice at all. For the longest time I could do the male cast of _ **Star Trek** _, but not Kirk. Finally, I came across an article in _ **TV Guide** _ or _ **People** _ (I forget which) comparing Kirk to Picard. It described Bill Shatner as “a hammy Shakespearean actor who speaks in short, choppy sentences” and I had this sudden “THAT’S IT!” moment. From then on, it was easy. ---

I can do an exaggerated “close captions sponsored in part by…” from Johnny Gilbert of Jeopardy. I used to do the whole intro: " This. Is. Jeopardy! Now entering the studio are today’s contestants!", back when the contestants had to awkwardly walk to their podiums. ---

My favorite James Mason–Richard Burton bit is the meeting between Erwin Rommel and Captain MacRoberts in _ **The Desert Rats** _, which goes something like this… **Rommel:** [_To adjutant_] Some cognac for the Captain! [_MacRoberts takes the cognac._] **Rommel:** [_To MacRoberts_] If I wanted to take Tobruch, I would crush it as if it were a fly! **MacRoberts:** Well, why don’t you take Tobruk then? **Rommel:** [_Coughs because of his wound._] **MacRoberts:** [_To Rommel’s adjutant_] Some cognac for the Field Marschall! One time I was at a bar, and the Doobie Brothers’ “What a Fool Believes” came on. I started singing along and did a perfect imitation of Michael McDonald, if I do say so myself. My friends did not agree, though. ---

Mike from _Breaking Bad_ (Saul’s “fixer”). It helps to look a bit like him. And you do a lot of heavy-eye lid staring. And I once played a local politician named Bob Guhl (rhymes with ghoul - really) by dressing in a jacket and tie while wearing a monster mask. I kind of liked the simplicity of that one. ---
