I have to agree with sex. It has its moments, I suppose, but the whole _insert tube-like structure A_ (both sexes have a few to choose from) \*into orifice B \*(both sexes have a few to choose from) followed by _intermittent piston movement, disharmonic vocalizations and fluid exchange_, seems rather archaic and tedious to me. After 4 billion years, we should have evolved more exiting sexual structures and processes, like latches, hatches, molly bolts, shocking volts, vibration sensation and gyration dilation. At least then, I wouldn’t have to just phone it in three times a week… (…all right, three times biannually:o). ---

In the _“most overrated outdoor tourist destination”_ category, I nominate Lake Tahoe. Sure, it’s a nice big lake in the Sierra, but the development and the crowds suck all of the peace and beauty out of it. ---

I have had really, really bad sex in my life. Like, so bad you would rather be doing anything else just so you don’t have to be having sex with that person at that moment. The point of all of this is that if you (general you) haven’t ever had really, really good sex and you’ve been having sex for a number of years and with a few different partners it is probably because you are doing it wrong or you have some kind of hormonal/chemical thing going on. If you have had great sex but now you are on prozac or whatever and mentally stable then of course mental stability comes before mind-melting sex. Sex isn’t so good that you shouldn’t be happy with the rest of your life, but if you are hormonally balanced and you haven’t had a great sexual experience you need to get your partner, a copy of the kama sutra, a bottle of lube, and a free weekend and practice until you stumble upon a great sexual experience. My vote for the most overrated thing would have to be branding. I don’t care who made my purse/dress/car/whatever. If I never see another purse/wallet/shoe/shirt/etc covered in logos whose only purpose is to tell you who designed it and how much it costs I would be so happy. ---

We have a kickass home theater system (ceiling-mounted projector, 4’x7’ screen, humongous front speakers, surround sound, HD, multi-region, all that good stuff that goes into a top-notch home theater system) and well over 1500 DVDs, but we honestly prefer to go to the theater. Last year we saw over 150 movies in the theater and this year’s on track for around the same. I saw 5 movies in the theater just last week ( **Traitor** , **Elegy** , **Burn After Reading** , **Frozen River** , and **I Served The King Of England** ). I LOVE going to the theater, and never have any problems of the type that keep others out of the theater. I wouldn’t give up the home theater for anything, because having it is a childhood dream come true, but at this point in my life, I wouldn’t give up the theater experience either. ---

Not the most overrated thing, but the best I can come up with for now: cannabis. I remember the first few times I tried it as a teenager thinking it was great and laughing my ass off, but nowadays? Maybe once or twice a year I might try some with a friend and… I just feel slightly lethargic and get a nasty taste in my mouth from the smoke. Either dope’s become rubbish or I’ve grown out of it. Certainly not worth the money and the risk of getting busted for. ---
