I used to have a car with wheel covers that constantly came loose and would rattle whilst I was driving. I fixed those suckers in place with Loctite and they never rattled again!
'Course, then I discovered the need to carry around a miniature blow-torch for those occasions when I got a flat tire…
Not sure if this qualifies as an adhesive or not, but one of the most amazing concoctions I’ve ever seen is urethane with carbide filler.
My uncle was an industrial pattern maker for a long time, and he often used urethane for his molds. The carbide-filled urethane was so tough & hard and that it could not be filed with a file. :eek:

That describes hard, but not necessarily a great adhesive. A diamond is very hard, but a diamond makes a really lousy (and expensive) glue.
