Everybody gets one vote, but feel free to acknowledge more than one field. If you need a memory jog, [here are some](http://www.fas.harvard.edu/home/academics/deptwebsites.html) [fairly comprehensive](http://www.umass.edu/umhome/academics/majors.html) [lists of disciplines](http://students.ubc.ca/calendar/index.cfm?tree=12,204,349,237), in my opinion, but feel free to choose something not on these lists. You lose points, though, if you vote for your discipline, or the discipline of your SO. šŸ˜‰ My vote goes to **Linguistics** , with honorable mentions going to Literature and Architecture. ---

Romantic in what sense? Most likely to get you laid? Getting an MD or DDS would probably help the most, since they imply future financial success. ---

Even though I get the impression that everyone here is just using the same joke over and over [;)], I can see cases for everything listed here. I have to think a bit for Computer Science, though. As long as nobody says Engineering Iā€™ll suspend my disbelief. I didnā€™t realize there would be such a wide range in responses; I guess in order to nail this down weā€™ll need a huge sample spaceā€¦ ---

Iā€™d go for either linguistics or cultural anthropologyā€¦ I love a guy who can talk dirty in any number of languagesā€¦ yet a cultural anthropologist is sensitive and thoughtful. Just in my experience, at least. ---

I can testify that the ability to reduce relationship problems to truth tables is an invalvuable asset. Plus, the utter concentration on the problem at hand is a great asset in the sack. ---
