**Queen’s** _Somebody to Love_ got me thinking about this. Sometimes the lead singer will sing a line and the chorus will repeat it. In _Somebody to Love_ i goes like this:

I work hard _(He works hard)_
Every day of my life
I work till I ache my bones
At the end \*(At the end of the day) \*
I take home my hard earned pay all on my own

Usually the line that the chorus sing is the same as what the lead singer sings, but not in this case.

So what’s this called?

I think that would fall under [call and response](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_and_response_(music)).
