Not only that, but they have absolutely no way of telling whether you’re running the extension or not, unless the extension actually interacts in some way with the server. For example, some websites detect whether or not you’re running an ad-blocking extension, and ask you to disable it. But they only know that you’re doing this because you’re blocking their ads. I guess it might be possible for a server to detect all of the extensions running in a browser, but considering that the mods here basically aren’t allowed to do anything related to the server or even the vBulletin code, i’d wager a lot of money that there’s no way they can tell if you’re running a particular extension in your browser. ---

One of the solutions is to uninstall the extension. **Jonathan Chance** did not say that was the only solution. He offered a menu of three potential solutions. If you want to use an extension to change Trump to Drumpf, either the current one or the one that you seem to believe will have the world beating a path to your door, fine, feel free. If that results in you breaking the rules about altering quotes, then you’ll get noted or warned. I have no sympathy. ---
