# What's the point of those "split" refridgerators where half is freezer and half is fridge?

I recently bought a refrigerator without that. I also removed the ice-maker from the freezer compartment to create more space there.

But yes, that limited my options.

[Bottom freezer](https://www.lowes.com/pl/Bottom-freezer-refrigerators-Refrigerators-Appliances/4294789499) refrigerators would seem to fill the bill.

I’ve seen a few models with door water dispensers but I dunno if they move ice up there as well.
