I only catch the Rush show by mistake sometimes, but I think it’s supposed to be a bad pun based on rapper Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs monicker [puff daschle = puff daddy]. Yeah, it’s that lame. Now Mr. Combs calls himself P. Diddy, but if you didn’t know that and didn’t care I respect you more.

Space Otter is correct. When Sean Combs decided to change his nickname, Rush said, in effect, “well, I guess the old one is free now…how about “Puff Daschle””?
