# What's the song in the X2 commericals?

I know I’ve heard it in several other places–including during footage of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in a documentary. What is it?

Coulda sworn it was Mars, Bringer of War, but then I’m probably misremembering the commercial.

**Max** , thanks for the idea, but I know it’s not _The Planets_. I know Holst’s major works inside and out (or at least enough to recognize them with the play you’d get from a 30-second commerical.) However, I do agree that it has sounds like it could be Holst or Orff.

Then Holst’s estate had better sue Vangelis for plagiarism, because it sounds _precisely_ like it.

“Mars, The Bringer of War” has been ripped off repeatedly by a great many composers.
