The one I am using right now has Hawaiian flowers and the logo for Hilo Hattie on it. I got it on my honeymoon. My 2 favorites are my Lion King one that I got at Disney, and my blue glass one with frosty sharks on it that I got at the New England Aquarium. Oh yeah, and I really like my X-Files one too. I, of course, have a Straight Dope mug. It’s a standard mug, which you can buy from Cecil’s House O’ Values…except that MINE has “Staff” on it, as well as the standard stuff. Nobody else is allowed to use that mug. I don’t care if every other cup and mug in the house is dirty, that’s MY mug, and nobody better touch it! ---

I have two favorites. One is a far side mug with the underside of an airplane with a frog hanging by his tongue (I collect frogs). The other is a Victoria Secret mug that is tall, white and has pink hearts and the letters VS on it (VS are my first two initials). ---

The one I use at work is from my first radio job. It reads… OV63 is Kelowna My favorite to use at home is also a radio station mug…it reads… 1040 AM Coast The spirit of radio. Truly a brilliant radio station with a great philosophy. I collect mugs…kinda. I have around 30-40 of them. ---

My mug at work says “Coffee from Hell”. It was a gift. At home my two favorites are one with Taz, and another that has a red heart on it and when it’s hot the heart turns into “I Love You”. Got that one for Mother’s Day. ---

**Lynn B:** You wrote “Staff” on it with a magic marker, didn’t you? I keep three at work…in case of guests. The one I use myself has the Moxie logo on it, with the Moxie Man doing his Uncle Sam pointing thing. The second one is from the Watergate, and the third one is from Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg, in Webster, Massachusetts. ---

I wasn’t sure quite how to take it when my boss, in his holiday distribution of calendars and trinkets with at least a putative connection to the personality of the recipient, gave me a mug several years ago that said “I only work here for the free pens and rubber bands”. These days at work, I use one of the dozens of mugs in our break room with the company name and logo. They have the advantage of being dark green, so you can use the same one for days without noticing the patina of coffee sludge that’s forming. At home, there’s one my wife got at work many years ago that’s the same diameter as a regulation mug but about 1/3 taller. The logo of some software company has almost completely faded from it, but it’s great for carrying around with me at home on weekends, so that I don’t have to go back to the pot as frequently. The other most frequently used one my mom gave a while back. It’s from Levenger’s and has a couple of quotations about the nobility of having books in one’s home. ---

Today I have my giant travel mug that I got at a Chicago Bulls game a few years ago. It says 1966-1996 30 years and running, with the Bulls logo. Underneath that it has: Sterling Quality faucets and fixtures. ---
