At work I have on eof those metal “mugs” (not really amug) with the Logo of the Losa Angeles Kings on it. At home I have white Dunkin’ Donuts mug, which is actually a cruel thing to do to myself. I mean you can’t get the world’s best coffee, Dunkin’ Donuts, in Southern California. ---

The travel mug I take to school with me every morning has a picture of Goofy pouring sugar into his coffee, with so much sugar that it’s spilled out on the sides of the cup. It says “Nothing’s sweeter than the first cup.” I bought it because that’s pretty much how I take my coffee. A splash of milk and an entire sugar-shaker. My best friend is diabetic and she says she goes into sugar-shock just watching me drink it. I also have a black mug that says (in white) “You all laugh because I’m different. I laugh because you’re all the same.” ---

Mine says “5th Annual Women’s Weekend, Camp Little Notch, HVGS Alumni Association, 1994.” The words “Women’s Weekend” are the only thing legible at a distance, and I think co-workers are afraid to ask about it. ---

My current work mug is from Batman Returns; it’s the Catwoman one (there were 4 in all: Batman, Catwoman, Penguin, and Gotham City). I bought the set to get Catwoman. My previous work mug was a scene from the Papyrus of Ani (Egyptian); it got left in our office move this past April. At the job before this one, I used a mug I stole from my parents; it was black, with a stylized representation of two cats. I stopped using that one at work when I changed jobs; now I only use it at home. What I’d like is to get one that says, “It’s a dirty job, and I get to do it.” Even though my job isn’t dirty… ---

My favorite mug has a black & white photo of a woman (c. 1950-ish) dressed in a bathing suit, holding a mop in one hand, and a cigarette in the other. She’s scowling and doesn’t look to happy that her picture is being taken. Under this pic, it says: “Does it _look_ like I give a rat’s ass?” ---

My work mug has a drawing of a white dog on one side and the words “LE CHIEN”, and on the other side a spotted dog, you guessed it “LE CHIEN TIGRE.” I have no idea where I got it, but I’ve had it for a number of years and continue to use it because it is on the large side. One of these years I’m gonna wash it out. My “guest” mug is white with a big black “G” on it. Used to belong to my best buddy George, but he’s dead now and I picked it up while rifling his office after he died. (I also got his stapler!) ---

Unfortunately, my two favorite mugs are sans slogans. I have a stainless steel travel mug that used to say Eddie Bauer on it, but the ink rubbed off when it was washed :(. The other mug I use a lot is a bib black coffee cup (ala Central Perks on Friends). Nope I don’t use it for coffee, or I would be up for a month. I mainly use it for herbal tea. Keith ---

Work mug: United Federation of Planets, navy blue mug with stars and olive wreath logo in white. Home: alternate between “World’s Greatest Dad” and a Crayola Crayon mug. Christmas time I break out a Disney character mug. Broke a favourite a few years back: Harvard Graphics Apaloosa horse and dalmation dog, wearing three-d glasses. ---

Hmmm, I don’t drink coffee, but I do have mugs for it. (Tea and chicken broth when sick.) One has a caracture of J.R.R.Tolkien on it. Another has my companies logo on it. Another has the Babylon-5 logo on it. My favorite is my mothers : Yes, I’m middle aged, but I’ll grow out of it. Oh, and she used to have one that said : It takes a stud to build a house. (Was broken when we rebuilt the basement. 🙂 ) ---

I found it several years ago on a trip to Las Vegas. The text is from ‘Arsenic and Old Lace.’ “Insanity runs in the family. It practically gallops.” I get the strangest looks in my office but it wards off the timid. ---
