Oddly enough, I think _Hogan’s Heroes_ would make a good movie- **IF** they played it straight as an adventure movie with no attempt at comedy. Think of it: the Allies greatest and most secret intellgence asset- a spy/saboteur cell in the heart of Germany, operating out of a P.O.W. camp that the inmates (all volunteers) secretly have complete control of! ---

The scary thing is that a number of ideas that went _plop_ for a serial story format could be made to work as a single story form, such as a movie. As an example: “My Mother, The Car” bombed as one of the worst TV shows of all time. However, it could be possible to make a movie about a woman who suddenly died being given a chance to try to straighten up her messed up progeny before passing on into the light. It wouldn’t be a remake, mind you, but a different interpretation of the same idea. Frankly, I don’t think they could do a remake of F-Troop in this day and age. Not that I’d watch it if they did make it. ---
