> Oddly enough, I think _Hogan’s Heroes_ would make a good movie- **IF** they played it straight as an adventure movie with no attempt at comedy. Think of it: the Allies greatest and most secret intellgence asset- a spy/saboteur cell in the heart of Germany, operating out of a P.O.W. camp that the inmates (all volunteers) secretly have complete control of!

…and the Germans place one of their own as a mole in the camp as a POW, right?

A few more future horrible movies:

Kukla, Fran & Ollie: the Motion Picture (starring Rita Rudner as Fran)

Anna Nicole: Uncut! Unedited! Unwatchable!

That 70s Flick!

(and this one might have been a bit too obvious, but -)
Star Trek Voyager: The Wrath of Kes

They remade Dragnet.

They remade Sgt. Bilko.

Don’t underestimate their power!

**kunilou** , you could be right. I hope not, since my vague memories of F-Troop are of inept and misled US Army troopers often outdealing even more inept and misled indians.

But the fact that they did a remake of _McHale’s Navy_ proves that nothings impossible for them.

Laugh-In.

Was funny, once, for a short period of time with some supremely talented comedians and actors.

Remade in two-hour format, big screen, with big names instead of comedians… hell, even some big name comedians I can think of… you’d have people gnawing their legs off to get out of the theatre…

I would say just about any of the Kroft kid shows:

Here’s a scary sci-fi (and James Doohan’s second finest role):

- Star Command\* and _Jason of Star Command_

And of course:

I was going to suggest _Batman_ – that is, not a new take on the comic book, like Tim Burton did, but a direct screen adaptation of the campy TV series that ran from 1966-68.

Then I found out it’s already been done. In 1966. With the original cast from the TV show. (See [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060153/.)](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060153/.))

How about a _Happy Days_ movie? With Matt Damon as Richie Cunningham! Henry Winkler as his father! And Hilary Swank as Fonzie! (You know, reprising her role from _Boys Don’t Cry_ . . .) And let’s see the writers try to make '50s nostalgia relevant to a Millennial audience the way it was to a 1970s audience!

Coming to a theatre near you!

_Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer!_

I don’t know why I didn’t have this nightmare sooner. The cast:

Ashton Kutcher as Speed Racer
Jennifer Love Hewitt as Trixie
Jim Belushi as Pops Racer
Jason Biggs as Sparky
Hallie Kate Eisenberg as Spridal (yes, he’s a girl now)
Animatronic Chimpanzee as Chim-chim
Vin Diesel as Rex Racer aka RacerX
An assortment of models and animation as the Mach 5

The theme song would be re-recorded in snotty fashion by Sum41 or Blink-182

Um…\*Stalag 17 \* anyone? The show was based on a serious movie with funny parts. “I know nothing” from SGT Schultz was chilling in the movie.

Hmm… Maybe this could work - Steve Buscemi as a losing contestant who turns psychotic. He kidnaps Pat Sajak and is holding him in his mother’s basement - in a shoddy homemade Wheel of Fortune set - forcing him to solve puzzles at gunpoint. “Sorry Patster, you don’t have enough to buy a vowel”.

And of course Vanna, as the action hero who rescues him!

There was a Speed Racer movie in the works about 10 years ago.

I can’t remember who was being talked about as Speed. Johnny Depp, maybe?

That said, Vin Deisel would make a **good** Racer X.
