_Terminator: Salvation._ I wasn’t expecting much, as the reviews were generally negative, but a few people liked it so I thought it’s worth a try, at least. If the plot is crap, at least there’s cool action set pieces, right? In fact there are too many action sequences, with precious little context, and the constant strobe light flicker was headache inducing. I also saw _Iron Man 2_ recently, and couldn’t believe how boring it was. Three mediocre action sequences spaced hours apart by a lot of blah, and characters who had no motivation or discernible charisma (except for Robert Downey Jr, who has rather too much). ---
