This is false. No suspect has been identified, so there is no evidence that the perp was antifa. Could have been a right wing agitator, or BLM, or anything. ---

Well, he was at least publicly IDed, arrested , charged and brought to trial. Whoever the Portland guy is, none of those things have occured yet. ---

I mean, it seems likely that the murderer was Antifa, but it’s not certain yet. It’s not out of the question that it’s a Boogaloo idiot, given their propensity for violence and 4chan-style misinformation campaigns and their desire to provoke a civil war; but the simplest explanation is an antifa activist. I say this as someone who considers himself part of the educational wing of antifa, and it is of course–of _course_–horrific that anyone would resort to violence like this. It’s likely, but I’ll wait for more information. ---

The fighting here appears to have been two-sided, with members of the right-wing “caravan” that drove into Portland firing paint and pellet guns at protesters. No word yet on the specific circumstances of the killing. Note however that while Joe Biden has continued to condemn the violence in Portland, President Trump has called the people on his side “great patriots”. ---
