Hi All,

I don’t know if there are any Smallville fans out there, but at the end of episode 3x16 there is a piece from an opera which I’ve heard before on my travels but I can’t remember for the life of me what its called!

Any ideas would be welcomed. I’ve uploaded an mp3 of the clip from the end of the show to:

Thanks for reading!

I think it’s ‘Je Crois Entendre Encore’ from Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers

Thanks! That seems to be it 🙂 Now to find a decent recording not in mono from the 50s…

Any suggestions?

10 minutes, in the early hours of the am, on an Opera question that is not Nesses Dorama (sp) or Carmen.
Behold the power of the SDMB.

Roberto Alagna released a great CD of French arias that includes “Je Crois Entendre Encore” – you can find it from Amazon [here](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000058B1Y/qid=1079469027/sr=1-23/ref=sr_1_23/002-7065173-8602438?v=glance&s=classical). Alagna’s voice is lovely; I’ve read a number of reviews that call him the finest lyric tenor of his generation. His _pianissimi_ are swoon-worthy.

A contemporary recording of The Pearl-Fishers was recorded by Barbara Hendricks on Angel Records.
