For the benefit of American Dopers, who may be unfamilar with the work of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson-- (Apart from _Space: 1999_, mebbe…) The look of the film is an homage to Supermarionation®, which was used to great effect in the Andersons’ _Thunderbirds_, _Stingray_, and _Captain Scarlett_ in the 1960s. Supermarionation® kicks ass, as any Commonwealth-dweller who’s ever channel surfed under the influence of far too much LSD knows. I can’t wait to see what Matt and Trey have done with it. 🆒 Gotta go. The Fish People (Dah duh daaah!) are on to me. Oh, the _itch._ ---

That they took an actual episode of Thunderbirds, re-edited it and re-dubbed it as their ‘shop this to the studio’ reel, strikes me as being the coolest thing about this movie. Especially considering the people who made the “real” Thunderbird movie that came out this summer flubbed the thing entirely. ---
