# Whats this virus?

Does anyone know what this virus is called and what I can do about it? The icons on windows run away from my mouse.

Likely the Magistr virus. Symantec’s blurb on it:

I found [this link](http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/tech/weekly/1272907) on Google by searching on “icons run” virus.

The specific name is Worm.Magistr or W32/Magistrmm. I would suggest going to [symantec.com](http://symantec.com) or [cnet.com](http://cnet.com) and looking it up. They both have full descriptions of most known virus’s.
