My side: 3 neat storage boxes of shoes, power cords for things on the bedside table. His side: a godawful mess including clothes, wine bottles, boxes, old shoes and rollerblades etc. which flows onto the floor alongside the bed. Glad you can’t see that side from the door. ---

Why did I read that to say that your cat’s name is “po”? 🙂 Under my bed: Princess Baja, the Wonder Cat (usually) The front half of my riding boots (back half is cozied up to the dust ruffle) Extra blankets in plastic storage bags Luggage No dust bunnies. PBtWC (see above) hunts and kills them without mercy. ---

A BB gun, shotgun, and rifle, each in its own case, none loaded (we don’t have children anyway). Probably dust bunnies. Power strips for nightstand stuff (lamps, alarm clocks, etc.). Frequently a cat. Carpet. 😉 Future occupant: the flat tote of giftwrap stuff that currently lives on a shelf in what is nominally the second bedroom (in practice, it’s storage, referred to as the Room of Doom). ---

Dust bunnies Stray socks Half of at least three pairs of shoes Some summer clothes in a plastic box (The summer clothes I never took out this summer, not the ones I haven’t put away for the winter yet) A cat (presumably mine, but it’s hard to guess when cats are involved) The post-coital towel, probably I am not a great housekeeper. ---

Enough dog hair to build another dog, an under the bed plastic container with some old sweaters I never wear, odd socks, books and magazines that have drifted under there instead of being put on the bookshelf after I read them, bones for the dogs and possibly a ball or two. I think that’s about all. I dare not look, there’s probably monsters there, too. ---

Some of my partner’s shoes (all that will fit). A 4-way power adaptor with electric blankets and a bedside lamp plugged into it. Quite a lot of dust. ---

My bed lies directly on the floor, so in order it’s carpet, pad, subfloor, structure of the second floor of my condo, drywall, popcorn ceiling, my living room, a cheap throw rug, laminate flooring, probably some kind of cushioning foam, possibly some kind of vapor barrier, concrete, and the planet Earth. ---
