# What's up with all of these old columns?

Have there just not been any good questions asked lately, or what? For the past several weeks, we’ve just been getting “reruns.”

New column on Friday reruns during the week. It has been this way every since I cam here.

Mr. Adams has been writing a weekly column called THE STRAIGHTDOPE since the mid-1970’s. It originally appeared in weekly, alternative newspapers.

Now, of course, we have the net. The column has gone digital, but the column itself remains a weekly. I suppose they post the old columns just to keep something new up everyday.

I have always wondered what Cecil does the other six days of the week. My suspicion is that he is a member of one of the professions (law, medicine, etc.) Hmm…

Normally, a new column by Cecil appears on Friday.

Each Monday and Wednesday, the Home Page runs a classic column by Cecil. On Tuesday, there is a new Staff Report. On Thursday, we either have a classic column or a Staff Report, depending on a number of factors.
