# What's up with Deadwood?

I’m guessing March. Wasn’t it March last year? I think they started filming in late July, early August.

I read somewhere recently that the next episode of _The Sopranos_ starts in March, so they’ll probably start _Deadwood_ after that, maybe summer. But there’s a new series of _The Wire_ (my favorite show) coming sometime soon, too. So _Deadwood_ might not come until fall 2006. But I’m just speculating.

The [HBO.com](http://HBO.com) Deadwood page says “New Episodes Coming 2006”. But no further details. I’m guessing that means it’ll probably start _after_ the Sopranos has its season, since they would probably have the promo cogs more in motion if it was early in 2006. Which means June or July at the earliest I suppose. The Wire will also run in '06 too.

Anyone know on what’s next in the 9pm Sunday night pipeline when Rome finishes its run?

According to [this article](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/television/brief_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001263886) in today’s Hollywood Reporter, the answer is “sometime next year”.
